The safety of the people, assets, and environment involved in an offshore operation all depend on reliable safety valves. The Optimax series eliminates historic points of failure in valve design and is tested beyond API 14A standards to deliver a highly reliable well barrier. To date, we have deployed more than 6,800 Optimax series safety valves for a total of more than 15,000 years of cumulative service life—with no failures attributed to the design.
The WFX0 system is the first fully V0-rated gravel pack system. Incorporating a 10,000-psi-rated packer, WFX0 quick connect, and WFX0 gravel-pack sliding sleeve, the system eliminates the need for a dedicated deep-set barrier run with a packer and ball valve. This saves two to three days of rig time, which is especially valuable in offshore and deepwater applications.
Designed for deployment in the most critical deepwater wells, our TerraForm openhole packer uses proprietary cup-seal technology to conform to non-uniform wellbores and provide life-of-well zonal isolation. By enabling openhole completions in a deepwater environment, this technology saves several days of rig time valued at millions of dollars.
Virtually all of our completion systems can be operated remotely and on demand using radio‑frequency identification (RFID) technology. Weatherford downhole RFID tools have been successfully deployed in offshore fields worldwide, bringing value to our clients by reducing trips, interventions, rig time, and overall costs.
The OptiPkr production packer combines the robust performance of a permanent packer with the flexibility of a retrievable packer. The simple design minimizes the number of components while exceeding ISO 14310 standards. Providing a reliable, V0-rated seal between production tubing and casing, the OptiPkr production packer can withstand the most demanding subsea environments.
